Chef Uno Bakes Tuile Bowls For Dessert

Here is a great recipe for anyone hankering something sweet!

Tuile Bowls Ingredients

1     stick (8 tablespoons)        unsalted butter, softened

2/3  cup                                 light brown sugar, packed

4     egg whites (room temperature)

1     cup                                  cake flour

1/4  teaspoon                          salt

1     teaspoon                          vanilla extract (or you choice of flavorings)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put butter and brown sugar in mixing bowl on medium speed until sugar is creamed, 2-3 minutes. Add egg whites until combined, then add flour, salt and vanilla. Scrape down the sides of the bowl if neccesary. Line a baking sheet with silpat baking mat or parchment paper. Each sheet will bake 2, 7" tuiles bowls. Spoon 2 tablespoons of batter to one side of the baking pan and spread as thin as you can with an offset spatula. Repeat the process with the other half of baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes until the tuile becomes a golden brown. Remove cookies from oven, remove from parchment paper and gently place on top of an inverted bowl and mold to the shape of a bowl. Let stand until tuile hardens (1 minute). Repeat with remaining batter. Fill each tuile bowl with whatever your heart desires.
