Technology is becoming a bigger part of our lives every day and it seems like it’s only going to continue down this path. Some have even predicted that one day our physical and virtual realities will be intertwined.
Engineer and futurist Ray Kurzweil is famous for making predictions about technological advances in the future. In his 2006 book, “The Singularity is Near,” Kurzweil predicts that by 2039 humans will become software-based, “postbiological” creatures with nanobots in our brains enabling us to switch to a virtual reality experience.

Now, thanks to a video recently uploaded to Vimeo, we’re seeing what one artist thinks that futuristic world could look like. Uploaded by Keiichi Matsuda, the video shows a person walking through a city and performing daily tasks in a world of “hyper-reality.”
