A woman in Ontario was arrested over the weekend after witnesses told police she was shooting at Pokemon Go players with a pellet gun.
Witnesses said the woman was pelting players with pellets while perched on the roof of a two story apartment building late Saturday night. Cops think she fired at least four shots before they got there.
“Officers attended the suspect’s residence inside the apartment building and she was taken into custody without further incident and the pellet gun was seized,” police said in an online statement.
29-year-old Patricia Champagne has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
Police are reminding Pokemon Go players to be aware of their surroundings when playing the game, and to stay off of private property.
