It’s like a scene out of  Two Girls and Cup, but a lot less gross. Opening in August, Canada is set to have its first poop themed dessert cafè.

That’s right, owner Lien Nguyen’s cafe will offer an all-brown menu, serving traditional Asian desserts in the shape of human stools. “I’m trying to make poop cute,” Ms Nguyen explained to the Toronto Star.

Ms. Nguyen is going all out on the concept too.  Diners will sit on fake toilets and eat their treats from dishes that resemble urinals. This idea may seem different in the West, but in the Eastern part of the world, it is already common.

The Crazy Toilet Café opened in Moscow last year, as did the Ddong Café in Seoul and Boracay Toilet in the Philippines. Similar restaurants exist in Indonesia, China and Japan.

The East is where Nguyen says she  first discovered the concept.  She says when she was visiting her mother in Taiwan a few years ago, they actually visited a few of these types of restaurant.

“We checked a toilet-themed restaurantand I just loved it,”she said. “It’s funny to put food and poop together; it’s a great comparison. It stayed in my mind for a long time. As soon as I finished school, I said, ‘OK, I’m going to bring the restaurant to Toronto.’”

Well, we’ll see how this works out in Toronto. Hopefully, it doesn’t go down the toilet.
