Roni Proter from DinnerReinvented.com showed introduced us to some food trends to watch out for in 2017.
Exotic Veggies Take the Main Stage: With more focus on vegetarian, vegan and overall health, also comes the need for exotic fruits and vegetables, hybrids and using vegetables as the main dish. Pink lemons, yellow watermelons, brown tomatoes, peach pie peaches, purple sweet potatoes, purple carrots, angelcots and more!
Bold Flavors: Smoke and fire are both bold flavors that are making their way to restaurants kitchens. Smokey chipotle adds depth and mild heat to any dish. You can spice up your own dishes with something as simple as Tabasco's Chipotle Pepper Sauce.
Gourmet Sparkling Waters: Big soda companies stocks are sinking, partially because people now know how unhealthy they are for us. So people are buying sparkling water in all flavors with exotic flavors and classic combinations. You can treat yourself to something as tasty as the Sanpellegrino Chinotto orange sparkling water or even canned perrier for mixing or just sipping on a hot summer day. All of these are healthier options instead of reaching for a soda.
Frozen Juice Popsicles: Green juice and other pressed juices are huge and going to be even bigger in the years to come. You might also see frozen juice popsicles popping up on your Instagram feed real soon! Simply take your favorite juice, pour it into a popsicle mold and freeze it. Voila, you have a frozen juice popsicle!
