JFK Terminal Evacuated After Report of Shots Fired

Police are evacuating Terminal 8 at JFK airport in New York after Port Authority Police received a call of shots fired in the departures area, according to spokesman Joe Pentangelo.

There are currently no injuries, no arrests and no confirmation of shots fired. However, Port Authority police are evacuating the terminal at this time to be cautious, Pentangelo said.

Police are also closing streets in the area. Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes.

Police do not have a suspect at this time.
