How Celebrities Save Money

Not all celebrities are out living the lavish lifestyle of bottle service at the club and dining at the fanciest of restaurants. In fact, many celebs like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez enjoy spending their time hanging around the house instead of dropping big bucks out on the town.

According to Financial Expert Cathy DeWitt Dunn, even the most famous people pinch pennies the way we all do.  For example, Carrie Underwood admitted to Everyday with Rachel Ray, that she clips coupons for her weekly trips to the grocery store.

Celebrities are just like us after all!

Dunn also emphasized that you not only clip coupons from the paper, but be sure to check on sites like Retail Me Not and even ask for coupons while you're in the store.

Another tip you can take from celebrities: work with a financial planner. Sometimes it's easier to notice ways to save, earn, and plan for your future when you have a new set of eyes looking at your finances.

While you're working with your financial planner, one important goal should be to save for a 6 month emergency fund. Life is unpredictable, and an emergency fund can save you a lot of heartache if something unfortunate happens.
