Kate McKinnon is a fan favorite of "Saturday Night Live" and is now in a new movie called "Masterminds," also starring Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Wiig.
"Masterminds" is based on the true story of a Loomis Fargo truck heist in 1997 where vault manager David Scott Ghantt, his girlfriend Kelly Campbell, and several others made off with over $17 million in cash.
McKinnon plays Galifianakis' wife-to-be and has a rage that seems to simmer through a smile. When asked about working with other notable SNL cast members such as Kristen Wiig she said, "It's a laugh riot. It's relaxed. It's fun. I know most of these people before showing up on the set and it's just like hanging out with friends."
In addition to being a rising star in Hollywood, McKinnon has had a long career in comedy. She started with roles in the comedy series "The Big Gay Sketch Show," then performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, and eventually auditioned for "Saturday Night Live" where she played characters ranging from Justin Bieber to Hillary Clinton.
You can catch her new movie "Masterminds" in theaters September 30, 2016.
