“The shell is the chicken. The chicken is the shell.” That’s how Taco Bell describes their new Naked Chicken Chalupa.

That’s right. The shell is made entirely out of marinated, all-white crispy chicken.

Responses online range from blissful anticipation to tummy turning opposition, but Taco Bell’s fully prepared to face any culinary consternation.

“Something this delicious yet different is bound to ruffle some feathers; some might even cluck their tongues at it,” said Marisa Thalberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell Corp. “However, we feel confident that once our fans get a taste of the Naked Chicken Chalupa they are going to understand exactly why this is our next big, fun and craveable innovation, following in the footsteps of the Doritos Locos Tacos five years ago and the Quesalupa just last year.”

The Naked Chicken Chalupa will be available at a Taco Bell near you beginning January 26. You KNOW we’re gunna try it, so if you’re not brave enough, just wait around for our review.
