Dallas Life Homeless Shelter's semi-annual graduation ceremony honors men and women who have successfully completed the Homeless No More Recovery Program, which guides them toward self-sufficiency through whole life change. Graduates have gotten jobs and homes, re-entering society as contributing members.
The 10-month program curriculum is accountability-based and provides drug and alcohol recovery, classes in anger management, relationship restoration, job readiness, resume preparation, interviewing skills, money management, as well as personal and spiritual growth. Counseling is offered to residents and their children.
Dallas LIFE achieves a 9 in 10 long term recovery rate, surpassing most national homeless rehabilitation programs. Now in its 63rd year, the mission provides over 377,000 meals and 127,000 beds annually.
