Why You Should Always Dress Up When You Fly

Flying can be quite a process these days and an uncomfortable one at that. The seats aren’t cushy, it’s cramped, you’re either best friends with your neighbor or enemies depending on the time of day.

So of course you would want to wear your most comfortable outfit because if you’re dreading the flight anyways why not make it as bearable for you as possible.

According to Insider, it might be best for you to look your best… and here’s why.

Flights tend to get overbooked, but in the rare instance there is an upgrade available, the best dressed will most likely get the upgrade. Think about it, they’re not going to put someone wearing sweatpants with flip flops up front with all their classy customers.

Another perk to dressing a little better on a plane is you’ll save some space in your suitcase. A big ole jacket will take up space in your luggage but if you wear it onto the plane you’ll probably fit one or two more outfits in there. And with dressing better there’s always the adage of feeling better too.

You never know who you will meet getting on or off the plan. It could be your next employer or even a future significant other.

Plus when you look good, you will make it more pleasant for your flight attendant. It’s their workplace, the last thing they want to do is look at a hot mess the whole time.
